So a couple years ago I painted this piece of Zombie Obama and Zombie McCain eating babies for the cover of the october 08 issue of a local paper in Houston. The paper somehow made it to some dudes who like to skate over in Memphis. They sent me an email telling me they were starting a skate company asking if they could use the image to put on a skateboard deck, I said sure, just send me one when you make them and we’re even. I forgot about this until a few month’s ago they sent me an email asking me my address because they had a deck for me, now the board is hanging on my wall right now, looks badass. Anyway, it’s a brand new company formed by some good dudes who just love to skate, help them and yourself by buying one of my zombie decks.

So, I’m not sure who will be reading this, I haven’t passed out any cards in over 6 months and don’t really network.

That being said, I recently moved to San Francisco and love it here. I’ve made some work, more digital than acrylic, but mostly I just ride my bike. It’s raining out, been riding all morning, just ate, bout to head out again.I guess what I’m trying to say is that this is a nice town, and there’s art everywhere, and I feel inspired, and there will be some beautiful work coming out of me soon.

Oh hello,

I am moving from Houston to San Francisco, I leave feb 18 and am flying over with 2 bikes and a bag of clothes. I’m going to be starting over, looking for a place to stay, getting a job, buying all new supplies, so it may be a while before I get a chance to make some new acrylic on canvas stuff. I’ll try and keep making digital work, as always check out my flickr page, and if you live in San Fran hit me up.

So, little update, I changed my last name legally to Castro, family thing. A new website should be in the works soon, or at least the same website with a diff name at a diff url.

Also, I am going to be moving across country soon, right now I am based out of Houston, Texas and as soon as march will be in San Francisco.

Finished all the stuff I was working on, They Live piece, Zombie Lindsay Lohan Tshirt, Zombie George McFly, Star Wars drawings, and Lesbian Vampires…

Right now, working on some photoshop projects, I need to finish a few zombie portraits before I leave town, a friend wants another They Live painting, and I’m thinking about doing a super bloody Ninja painting, just because there surprisingly aren’t nearly enough badass images when you google image search for “ninja blood”

hello there,

Well I made it back. Just finished an 18 day road trip of the west coast with my fixie strapped to the back of my car, you can see a little video I made on my youtube channel (link >)

I drove over 6 thousand miles by myself, that’s a lot of time to think. Anyway, without going on too much, I’m good, life is good and basically I’ve decided I need to make more work.

Almost finished with the They Live piece, I think everybody’s going to like it. Working on a zombie Lindsay Lohan for a friend’s friend’s T-Shirt design. Helping another friend with some imagery for her new yoga studio. A few zombie portraits need to be done. One more star wars drawing. Finally get to a do a painting for my lovely friend who built me this wonderful website (http://nettekins.net)

And just kind of cooking some ideas in general about painting and my future with it.

Hello

Taking a little break from painting to complete my tour of these united states. A few months ago I took my bike and strapped it to the back of my car and hit as many cities as I could on the east coast in two weeks. Well now for the west coast, this time I’m taking 18 days.

Lots of ideas floating around my head, anxious to get back to get them down. Have a ‘They Live’ painting on my easel right now that’s going to be killer when I’m through with it. If you don’t know what ‘They Live” is, google it.

Anyway, I’m gonna try and take a bunch of pic like my east coast trip, maybe make another video. I promise to make a bunch of badass art when I get back.
